Default Neutral Saftey Switch Wiring - Manual Transmission

Hello everyone!

Im looking to get my neutral safety switch working. I can see that the switch is still there (i'll be replacing it) and I see a purple wire and a purple/white wire taped together. Are these the wires that are supposed to go to the switch? How do I connect them to the switch without the factory plug?

Thanks in advance!

As I recall,they ARE purple...

You should be able to get some crimp on wire connectors at the parts store to fit the contacts on the switch.

Ok, I figured that I could just use basic connectors but I wasn't completely sure...does it matter which wire I put on each of the switches terminals? I imagine it doesn't since they are just being connected and disconnected based on clutch pedal position...
