Default Valve cover grommet leaking!?

I noticed recently that there is oil on the passenger side head and on the firewall. I looked into the issue and it appears that the grommet on the valve cover is leaking. The crankcase tube (unsure of proper name) comes out of it.

Can this leak or could there be another issue?

The picture is from another car I owned to show what I am talking about.

Had the same problem with the 402 in my El Camino. Replaced the PCV with the correct one and the leakage stopped.
Apparently the PCV for the BBC found in local auto stores is a generic version. After hunting down the correct Delco number I found a few on eBay. Some people wanted over $50 for one since it also fits a "Corvette" BB. After waiting a few weeks a reasonably priced one popped up for about $12.

Default Gromet

I bought one at C.A.P automotive for 2.99 so I bought a spare as well.

These were available in boxes of 20 from GM until recently. 9776721 is the part number.
