Default Are Rally I's 14x6?

I have a friend who is selling a set of Rally I's from his 65 GTO. I'm thinking of buying them from him, but I remember having to buy new 14x6 steel rims when I converted to front disc several years back because the original 14x5's wouldn't fit.

Are Rally I's 14x5 or 14x6?

All original rally 1 wheels are 14x6.

IIRC even though all the original Rally I's are 14x6, there was a difference in the early ones and the ones for the disc brake cars beginning in 67. Might need to check some wheel codes.

Thanks all. I guess I will actually try a rim and see if it fits. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I want to replace my spinner hubcaps with the Rally I's anyway.

I know it's just my opinion, but I never really liked Rally I's on 64's since they didn't come from the factory until 65. I love the 64 spinners!

Rally I's are nice but not on a '64. Stick with the spinners-

X3 on keeping the spinners. Rally 1's on a '64 look as out of place as Rally 2's on a '65-'66, IMO.

I agree, no rally wheels look right on a '64, in some ways I'm a bit of a purist and in other ways I go totally astray.

I dont think it looks that bad, but I still like the spinners better.

There are many on this board that would disagree with you on that...

I like the understated look of the dog dish caps. As far as the 64 goes, just get a set of Hurst wheels, they are really inexpensive, only about $5000-$6000 for a nice set. And since they were a add on for all cars in the late 60's they will look real nice.

All in good time, all in good time.....

Until that day comes, dog dish caps. This one rolled off the showroom floor with the standard hub caps.

Actually, the reason the Rally I's are being sold is because they were replaced with a set of Hurst repops.

Maybe I will get them and use them as my "winter tires."

It's not a question of looking good or bad on '64 but it is a PITA when people recognize and tell you "didn't they first come out on the '65s"

These are the same people that point out the flaw in the paint to you...but they never want to take me to their car so we can talk about it! (I offer).

Personally - I think the Rally I looks OK on a '64....but I prefer other options.
