Default aerosol carbs?

i've never seen one of these up close. i came upon the website by accident looking for a drop base air cleaner for a dominator. now i see somebody has one for sale on either this board or PZ board. does any body know how well they work? what are the advantages? thanks for the info.

C&S is known for their aerosol carbs. Holley basically had the same deal on their 1050 3 barrel secondaries.

C&S builds some nice blow through carb stuff as does the Carb Shop and CSU. An Aerosol design carb has a linear fuel curve which may or may not be the hot ticket for some applications.

If you can buy the carb cheap then try it, (just like any carb purchase
). The carbs are NOT "Smoke and Mirrors" but are also not for every combo. They usually want "your left one" for a new carb too.

Scott,
Here's C&S web site:
http://www.candsspecialties.com/index.html

What I think is neat is they use a smaller tube under the larger main tube for low speed use...

Very cool and hi-tech looking but there is no real fuel atomization like a booster if you want to tool around on the street.

These are really intended for max flow

jeff, thanks for the link. just wondering if anybody had any real world experience. i thought it looked like a cool idea, but since i drive mine on the street was questioning the "drivability" without the booster to create signal.

Wink re c&s carbs

i have the 051500 series carb on my goat. it is the 1500 cfm model. the guy at c&s says it actually flows in the 1550 range. i have only ran it a couple of test hits, but the carb seems to work nicely.

So... I went to the C & S site to look around...
On their home page I got a glimpse of something weird- looks like a pair of 2-bbls with a common aircleaner base, or a 4-bbl with a huge space between primary and secondary sections! What the heck is the thing??

I have a C&S 1150 on my 482. When it was on the Vrbancic Brothers dyno (they also own the Carb Shop) they tried one of the Carb Shop "mule" carburetors. I believe it was a 950HP. It did just as well as the C&S. As to drivability, mine is just a racecar, but I have not perceived any drivability issues.

It turns out that the "weird" carb pictured on the C & S website is a "strectched" dominator that they built for a mud-race truck.

Awww yeah, the punisher intake made of CF !
That thing looks cool and it makes your 1500 CFM carb look like a teeny, tiny little thing

Jim, that must have been one really good 950HP carb (750 cfm) to work as well as a 1150 cfm dominator.

Tom - I might not remember which model it was. I thought he said it was a 950HP, but it sure looked like a standard Dominator.
