Hi guys Im going to sell a distributor #1103271 with a date of 6G23 It is in great clean shape with all uncut wiring, came off a motor thats been in storage since the 70's.

So I can describe it accurately what is it from? A search here indicated its a hei dist from a 77 w72 400 ta? I just dont know enough about these later parts to be sure. Just want to confirm it with you guys. Thanks

yes, sounds like an early w72 by the date code. Mine is built later with 7F17.
Is there a paint daub on the milled body?

Thanks bigborehunter, its still in the engine i will check it out in the morning and let you know then post in the for sale section. i figure somebody could use it and it will be cheap enough.

SOunds like a good deal for someone. The W72 units have the best advance curve of the 1970s Pontiac distributors. A little work and they're perfect for hot rodding. I just add a light weight advance kit to one and it comes alive. Currently restoring my W72 engine.
