Hey Guys.... we just had a car show here in Sydney (Australia) and one of our guys had organised a GTO and a Chevy Lumina (LHD Commodore for the Middle East market) as display vehicles. Well, the cars turned up Saturday, then someone high up at Holden suddenly went into a flap because they hadn't "Offically" been launched in the US yet...(yeah, been seen at every motor show and in all the magazines....but not "officially") so they pulled the cars out of the display......(darn it!!!!)
But - not before we got them out and had a good look at them ourselves -
I was never a fan of what Pontiac did with the front styling....but the real car actually looks OK in the flesh - much better than in the pics I've seen. The car was a regular production car with all the delivery documentation on it...not a show car...and it looked very nicely finished. After sitting in it and having a good look, I'd like to own one.
As for size, the pics are deceptive...the cars around the size of a 5 or maybe a 7 series BMW ( the sort of car they will compete with for buyers).
I think you guys in the US will snap these up as they land.

Regards,
Leigh

After the review in Motor Trend and Autoweek(mags here in the US) I wish I could afford to buy one as a daily driver.

In a few years I will own a used '04 or '05 though.
