Summit still sells the SS Unilug 15x8" Cragars. I just bought a set and put them on my 66 GTO and they are perfect. I'm glad I didn't go with used ones. Also added 225/60-15 WL BFGs for them. Part number: CRR-61815
I also bought all new lug nuts with washers and the 3 eared center caps for all 4 wheels. Looks great. Rears are also SS 15x8s that came with the car. The car handles 100% better now than it did with the SS 14x7s with Firestone 215/70x14s that were on it.

The new ones are different from the old original cragar ss wheels. The spokes are flatter and ruin the look of the wheels. I buy every old original I can get my hands on.

As I said... the new ones look just like the ones that came on the car and are the "old school" style. Spokes are not flatter... there is no difference. Now if you get the ones that are not the "old school" Unilug Cragars then there is a difference.

OK I've seen/read this debate on here before. Let's set the record straight once and for all. Let's just deal with facts and not emotion or bravado. OK ? Gents, this is for FUN, at least for me. Let me start out by saying that I have seen the two different styles. And we are all agreeing there are two "styles". Let's just ID them so everyone knows the difference. Let's not use the term "old school" for a moment. I just called Summit and found the following. The unilug (spelling) Cragar SS wheel is part #Crr-61815. 15X8. $172.80. They definitely look like the "flatter" spokes in the picture. Tech support said they are now making a 15X8 5X4.75 for the same price. Part #61C583442. I am concerned about the difference because I have 2 of the rounded spoke wheels for the front, and just don't want to buy back wheels that look a little different. So I am trying to figure out if any of the ones for sale now look like the "rounded spoke" wheels I have now. The guy at tech support does not have an old rounded style wheel to compare to the ones he sells. Don't know if I've made this MORE confusing, but hey, I'm trying. I just reread the descriptions for both wheels. The Direct Drill 5X4.75 15X8 part # 61C583442 description includes the words "original S/S designs" but also says "updated versions". So go figure. That sounds like double talk from some engineer to me!!! Or Sales guy, or whoever. But it sure sounds contradictory!!!!! Surely this has been brought up to the people at Summit before.
