Brake Drums for 1963 Tempest/LeMans
I have some good news for people needing brake drums. This may be common knowledge, so if it is I apologize. I had a customer needing brake drums for his Tempest. I found that drums from a Nissan Van 2013-2019 or Chevy City Express 2015-2017 is a direct fit replacement! NAPA part number ND 4406700. They are only about $55.00 each. They are much thicker through the center which should help remove heat. The only modification needed is to countersink the inside of the drum around each stud hole so you have about an 1/8" chamfer. This is to clear the stud shoulder and allow the drum to fit perfectly flush to the hub face. Just as simple as that. Hope this helps anyone needing drums. I do not know if they will fit 1961-62. If stock 63 drums fit 61-62 cars then yes they should work.
