Default A new life!

After 38 years 11 months I sign'd papers wednesday at 2:30 pm. I am a single man again. She got the new car I gave her for valentines day & her pension. I got the house & all the bills. Somehow a Jerry Reed song comes to mind right about now. I wish her well & hope she is happy. I will survive!

Same here for the first one.... Second one is no charm either.

Now Keith, go out and buy Bill Cosby's "....far from finished" concert dvd. That might give you the good laugh you surely need. And enjoy your freedom. You are now the 'Boss' again.... congrats!

Such a shame and she is a fool IMO. You are a hardworking, honest and faithful husband and father and friend. You raised all your kids and put them through college. Now she tires of you? So much for good times and bad, better or for worse, etc.

Keep your head up, you have a lot of friends who know what kind of good, unselfish and helpful friend and person you are. I am nothing short of Blessed to have a friend like you Keith.

It's always darkest before the dawn Keith! Life will continue to get better one day at a time.

Congratulations on the weight loss.

Been there, done that Keith.
Take it slowly, one day at a time and re-adjust your expectations, and life will be good.
I can now do anything I want without being asked why?

Mine cost me an assload of money, 43 acres that had bee in my direct bloodline since 1836 [ original land grant] and custody of my kids. Short of the custody deal I'm happier than I've been in years. I've also got the least money I've ever had but I'm still happier.

She was moved in with a guy within 3 months, married to him 3 months after the divorce was finalized. My kids are not impressed with either of them from what they tell me.

It gets better give it 6 months, spring will set in and you'll have a whole new outlook.

Don't do like some of us have.... and jump back in again. Stay single.... it's the best time of your life.

You can always go out trolling, but throw em back AFAYC. It's the new catch and release program for divorced men.
The alternative is a new life-long never ending fine.

Damn Keith, I'm sorry to hear this.

The best thing I can tell you is to keep your mind busy and never dwell on the past, it will only hurt.

Everyone is different, do what you need to do to be happy.
