Mark, I had to look this up to make sure it was correct. Thyroglobulin and iodine catalysis to form thyroxine, the primary thyroid hormone. Not enough iodine equals not enough thyroxine which leads to hypothyroidism( which I have had since 1998). Couple this with the huge amonut of TSH my pituitary gland has been producing for the last several years it’s no wonder I developed thyroid cancer.
