Default Convertible Rattles

This if for any 91 or 92 convertible owners.

I'm looking at a '91 TA convertible for sale. Nice condition with lower mileage. I took it for a test drive today and ran well but when going over bumps, both doors rattled and clunked. It was so bad, I pulled over just to be sure the passengers door was fully closed. It was. It did it with windows up or down, didn't matter.

My son had a '91 T-Top Firebird about 20 years ago and it never rattled like this vert.

The seller had subframe connectors welded in last year to stiffen it but it still is noisy.

Is this normal for these cars? I can't believe these did this when new, as there would be so many complaints.

I have a 89 GTA vert... squeaks and rattles anytime the top is up. 303 Rubber Seal Protectant. Use this on all your weather stripping... quiets things down some when the top is up. https://www.amazon.com/303-Rubber-Pr...57907436&psc=1
