Default H-O Racing Renaissance pix

Ive seen the picks here before, probably from Craigs page. Looking for photos of the 65 Tempest called the Renaissance. Me and a buddy may be purchasing my dads 65 Tempest HT. Looking for ideas

Was this with the 326, RAV, tunnel ram? Referenced here: https://www.maniacmechanic.com/h-o-r...v-race-engine/

I thought there was a thread here that talked about it. Someone asking about using a big block Mopar tunnel ram on a Pontiac. Something like that...

Yes that car. Unable to extract those photos. Only see a crazy high HP dyno estimation and pick of a head. But yes.

There's a black white pic somewhere of it painted with tunnel ram scoop waiting in the staging lanes. Maybe in one the H O racing newsletters. I'll have to look. I witnessed a good friend Jim Miller cutting up a small block Chevy tunnel ram to fit RA IV heads. Intake was going on a 303 back before 1973. Phil Cralle was the owner. He took intake to work and had it welded. First car was a 61 Ventura with aluminium bumpers later 70 Firebird. Named Loose Papoose. I never saw it run. Phil told me 9k was there. He said 3rd gear always hung up at those rpms.

JS
Mopar reference.
On the second version of the TR, we used a weiand plenum as it had the correct pass. side forward orientation like the Pontiac. The weiand plenum was also close to the length needed. The second TR used the TR-1Y runners which were slightly larger than the TR-1 runners.
