Default '63 Tempest/Lemans

Does anyone know of a '63 Tempest/Lemans coupe for sale in the $9000-$12000 price range. I prefer a converted to conventional driveline and Pontiac power. Would consider a good body or project. Sold my Camaro and now have cash, some nice cars I had to pass over until my car sold so now I'm looking. Must be a "63 and a non-wagon. Thanks

I know of a '63 Tempest Lemans Convertable, 4cyl, 4spd Transaxle. Super nice, rotisserie restored , 99.5% done. It's going to be more than your $12k upper limit, though.

Just tossing it out there,
Chris

Default 63 tempest

Older restoration that still looks good. Has the 195ci w/auto trans. Stripped down model....radio delete, very few options. New brakes, tires, timing chain, water pump in the last year. $6,000 or offer.

Default aquamarine tempest

Yes it is in Illinois and happy to have it. Thanks Jerry and Susan for a great little car. I'm excited to at least get started on a plan for a V-8 conversion. I've got someone wanting to do the rearend fabrication and install so I think come fall that will be my first step. Because I'm wanting to drive it some this summer I think I'll work on interior and look at installing front disc brakes. With an aquamarine color car what color carpet and headliner would I use from Ames or another source. I've looked into getting the seats recovered but while that is happening I'm going to replace the headliner. I like the bench seat tri-color interior. SMS also has the Pontiac label available for the center vinyl. Anyone produce the wedge for a dual master cylinder to level it? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

I had a friend make a wedge for me out of 1/2 inch alluminium.
I also move my master to the top bolts for more clearance.

GT.

Default '63 Tempest disc brakes

Thanks for your help. I'll try to get the local machine shop with fabricating a wedge.
