Out of curiosity, what did you end up doing with this car?

Still have it, I've had lots of interest, and several trade offers, but no serious bites.
I figure if it sells it sells, if not, I like the car, I'll just update it some more and keep enjoying it.

I hear ya. It'll take a specific buyer for sure! I've always had a love and appreciation for tubbed out cars, ever since I was little, and yours is no exception!

There's a guy who's been running around here in Lorain County for decades with his pro-street '69 Camaro. Tubbed, skinnies up front, cage, giant blower a foot above the hood...the car hasn't changed one bit since be built it 25 years ago! And he drives the wheels off of it too!

I've had 3 tubbed cars, 2 full blown pro streeters, and one 64 max wedge clone that was mini tubbed.
I love the look, and they draw a ton of looks at shows.
they just look outrageous.
This one is actually built to ride and handle really well, and with the OD trans can pull down 17-18 mpg if I stay out of it and drive normal.
I plan on fuel injecting it soon, and updating the rear suspension a little. Maybe doing air ride.
and then I want newer style wheels not sure which ones yet.

That's the same MPG as my '05 4WD CC Canyon lol, I'd be rolling that thing everywhere!

Good luck with whatever you end up doing to it, hopefully I can see it in person at a show sometime! Hoping to make it to Norwalk this year for the Nats...

I'm restoring a 68 GTO convertible , I'd really like to move this car to help pay for the bodywork on the goat.
Any interest out there?
