Originals were not urethane they switched with the new nose for 79-81. Hard plastic was factory.

Suprisingly, the Parts Place produces good fitting hard plastic flares for 1970-78. Do a search on this site, and you will see that they are well liked. Use the color coordinated welting that board member Wizard61 sells. It is VERY good quality.

I’ve never heard anyone say the fit was good. I heard with a heat gun maybe.
I have a spare nos set. You can still find them.

The topic of the Parts Place flares was recently discussed in the 70-73 section.. Regarding your nOS flares, I can only imagine what the tariff is on them....

I'm NOT specifically defending the PP, since not a huge fan with their spotty quality, but some stuff they sell is decent to even good.

I’m not sure what a nOS set goes for, they aren’t for sale anyway. . Prob 3-400 ea. I paid over 700 for the set 20 years ago. The 2 front joint PCs were over $200. nOS isn’t cheap.

I have used a plastic welder on them with good results. Since these things are getting really old and brittle, I would be looking for an undamaged original or the PP repro since you just need the one.

i surfed those flares albeit 10 years ago. Wavy as hell, garbage. I went with Dankos's...perfect. I do have a bunch of originals in the attic if you need some.
