Default LeMans on a Wallet

Anyone else here make stuff out of leather?

I occasionally assemble Tandy leather kits and attempt tooling.

I found I can take a photo, run it through an app that creates an outline, and use it as a tooling template.

My wife gave me a wallet kit for Christmas so I decided to go for it...

Not sure who's car this is, but it's the cosmetic role model and motivation for my own:

This is the template after touching it up:

This is how it came out... good enough to be destroyed by folding it up and using it!

That's really cool!

I'd love one with a 70-72 nose bird on it.

Loooks cool!
I have all of the Tandy stuff myself.
I may try that on a cowboy wallet or truckers wallet which ever you prefer.

Sweet! .. I love leather work, always wanted to do it since I was a kid.

I always wanted to do that fancy western tooling on leather.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Apps I use are intended to turn photos into coloring book pages. Here's a couple options:
"Photo to Coloring Book"

"Colorscape"
Here's another Pontiac-related project - a "leather thank you card"/coaster I made and sent to Jeff (Shaker455) for fixing my Frankencarb.

Another generous PY member, Bob (Sun Tuned), sent me springs and helped set up my distributor so I thanked him with a similar coaster but I didn't save a photo. Here's the template:

I don't do a lot of this, but it's a fun way for me to spend a few hours in the winter.

Very nice work and appropriate or would ironic be a better choice of words? A Pontiac on the OUTSIDE of the wallet means less cash on the INSIDE of the wallet.

Really cool, always wanted to do leather work, been fond of it since back in the school days.

Like to have my ex on a wallet so I could bend her over after she hits me up for money ...
