7040273 question
Is a 7040273 carb dated 2232 a SR carb built the 223 day of 72 and should it be stamped with a WC

It is possible its an SR produced in 1972.
I think we have had 1 or 2 such examples of 0273 before. Not saying they are/were that exact date. A search might provide more info. Probably take a lot of weeding out to find. Should not have WC. In undisturbed form - there would be no modulator valve vac nipple. If its been reman'd - it could have a number of improper things about it. There are also other possibilities. Casting numbers and various pictures would be required. Good luck. |

I did a search and found a 70 ram air trans am with the same date code on the carb with no SR or WC on it just like this one in question.Gonna have to guess its a 72 SR.
