Early 1969 ZH or ZG nodular rear axle unit
Date code October or November 1968. Prefer the cast numbers be readable and the housing not be badly rust pitted. May consider just a housing, as I have a 3.55 chunk.
Would also consider ZG 3.36 complete. |

Little late for you at 342th day. Think it’s a 3.31?

So close on date, my car was assembled Dec 17. I confirmed the ZF is 3.23. Day 342 is what, Dec 8th

Still need a ZH dated Oct/Nov 68. Would consider first week of December, car assembled 12/17/1968.
Added a wanted post in the OHC/Sprint forum, as a 69 Sprint parts car would have been factory equipped with ZH. |

My old 1970 trans am had the original rear end in it, and it was built only 7 days before the car. It was the closest date code on the car.

Another bump, would still like to find this unicorn. I found some old posts referencing p/n 9795107 as the casting number.

3020 was the number before the 5107 I forget when the change over happened.

Yes, 8020 would be the 68 FB nodular and some early 69’s, especially Van nuys cars

For the record my 69 Sprint convertible is a Lordstown build, mid December 1968. Unusual sidebar, the PHS invoice, nearly impossible to read, is from GMOO 5th Ave NY, NY. |

I’d have to search it There was a sprint hard top rotted ti heck in FB a while back w a posi on the PHS what ratio couldn’t tell you . May want to do a search maybe get lucky . I’m Always looking for these rear diffs. I know where there’s a 3020 but I can’t remember the ratio guys had it for ever. I’ll look back at my old texts and there’s another 3020 on here that was for sale w the perches having been moved for a second gen, may wanna do a search for that I was pretty sure I read somewhere the cut off for 3020 was into the 69 model year doesn’t mean it was correct. I know I’ve seen 5107s in Feb and March 69 birds. Oddly I’ve seen late 68 Julian date in March cars and I’ve seen early early first week of Jan 69 in Feb cars so idk if it was last in first out and first in last out or just a grab bag of whatever they could get to or what. https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...hlight=9793020

3020 vs 8020 could be a casting flaw, will have to look at a couple of 68 nodular rears in FirebirdS to confirm
