Default Door Hinge Threaded plate

Hi
I have a 1970 Firebird and have a problem with the plate that the door hinges bolt to have stripped threads.
It is the plate in the A'Panel and not the door.
I haven't had chance to look myself but are they removable from inside the car or do I have to cut them out from the A'Panel
Thanks for any help
Mick

Oh no. I take it from the replies it is not easy to remove. Drill and tap the next size up possible it is then.
Much appreciated
Mick
