Default Lower Spoiler Choice

Guys, I bought the fiberglass one and it seems too thin compared to my OEM part that is busted up.

Is the aftermarket plastic one a decent part?

I would have thought the fiberglass one to be ok, but. I bought a plastic one years ago when they came out and I never used it. Was too flimsy. I often see NOS ones for sale . That would be your best choice.

There are two NOS front lower spoilers on EBAY right now. $400-$450

Fiberglass molding techniques have improved over the years. It would be stronger than the plastic one you "had". I ran over a dog in my TA, not even a year old at the time. never replaced it. Recently bought a used one off craigslist. Those plastic ones are very fragile, especially below freezing...

I hate to admit it...their fiberglass unit is about what I paid for a used original one. I have read mixed reviews on their products. I will be searching (here) again to make sure I am remembering correctly. If their stuff is up to spec, it would be awesome! Their prices are very reasonable.

I found out the fiberglass part that Ames sells is the Danko part. I spoke to the Danko engineer who told me how they molded the piece from an NOS part and that it is way stronger than the plastic part. So, I will keep the Danko part for my car.
