/\ your "how to rebuild" appears to be a different one than mine - yours has yellow on the cover, where my copy does not.
BUT(!) I actually deleted a reply I made a several days ago, because in my response I mistook my "how to rebuild" for the previously mentioned RR version of "how build max-performance".

I have both Jim and Rocky's book and my copy of Rocky's has a different cover yet... and i just noticed the pictures would be in black and white on the print on demand too. That stinks, mine has the color pictures which i rather enjoy. Black and white photos can get difficult to decipher detail.

I would think that with the prices originals are fetching that CarTech would bring back the Jim Hand book in those formats. Maybe that could be a cost-effective solution.

Don, tried to get them to but I believe they told me that due to the format it is in, they have no way to do it. Since it is B and W already, it would be perfect though.

Even if that book was published before PDFs became widespread, they could carefully take one book apart and scan each page individually, Photoshop it into shape and make a new file. I have seen it done with books published in the 1800s and early 1900s. It would take some manpower but it could be done. I would be willing to help if that might make a difference.

Don, since you have stake in this, why not use escalated going price as justification for doing a revised printing;
take opportunity to do some updates and add or delete material as you see fit (from feedback previously recieved?!?)...

As far as updates, since Rocky's book is already out there, there really is no reason to do anything but do an exact reprint.

My book is an "on-demand" offering and has been for a couple of years- nothing has changed there. I was referring to the point that I have no stake in the Hand book, but would be willing to help get it an "on-demand" release if at all possible.
