While that is a great book, I would not pay $200 for it, gold plated or not.

How much does content differ from the Rocky book?

Out of print books can be expensive. Here's another example.

I had understood that this and some other out of print books are PRICEY, $200usd is high enough for me to consider selling my copy.

That 'tin indian' like might be pure gold - i had understood that this book wasn't available new for some time now.

The Tin Indian book is probably Rocky Rotella's book.

It was an updated version of Jim Hand's book.
(newer content and some upgrades)

Rocky also has How To Rebuild Pontiac V-8's

I agree with you johnta1. But they should probably update their website as what they show graphically is not Rocky's book at all. I have attached timestamped copies of both the Tin Indian link as well as a picture of Rocky's version from his website pontiacV8.com. Quite clearly different appearing books.

Interesting to note that Rocky doesn't have any copies of his own book in stock.

$200 for a paperback book ? Like the comment on the screenshot says you can now get much info off the net. If they are actually selling for that I’ll sell mine.

Does the “brand new one” contain information that the used one doesn’t?

Tin Indian Performance just issued me a refund. I did not ask for one. 😜

Just a note on this. CarTech dropped the print version of my Max Performance book. It's still available but only in an e-book format or Print On Demand, which, for those wanting an actual book, is a black-and-white book that's printed at the time of order. https://www.cartechbooks.com/pontiac-v8.html

I have one of each. Not excellent, but I would say very good condition. Both have been read through more than once. So, I suppose not worth $200, may be $75. Doesn't really matter, not for sale.
The content of each is a bit different.
