Speaking of Arnie- on reading coverage of the '64 Bakersfield Fuel & Gas Meet, the Grocery Getter was listed as winning A/MP- surprising, since he had been running in A/FX. It seems that NHRA rules changed to only allow current year cars in Factory Experimental, and Arnie's wagon was a '63 model.

Another surprise- a whole "flock" of sidewinder Tempest-4 dragsters entered!

... or has driven a couple laps of Nuerburgring with Tri-Power Pontiac power?(back in 1967)
