Default Holiday weather advice

OK, so I'm finally going to get to my car's birth country, the States, albeit not exactly where all the car action is! The wife and I are doing an 8 day Alaska cruise mid May ex Vancouver and finishing up in Seward/Anchorage where we will spend a couple of days.
The place we call home is on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, downunder, and I believe we share very similar weather to Hawaii, so my question is, how cold will it be, the missis is worried she'll freeze to death, personally I love the cold, which is why we are going there and not Vegas like everyone else from here does.
What can you fine folk share with me?

Yeah, no fog, no rain and Mediterranean weather - or not. The ship is always nice and toasty though so she can warm up between excursions outside.

On a more serious note, the second photo is the crowd disembarking off the ship and this was more the norm for the trip. Jacket weather for sure, but not that bad.

Vancouver weather should be around 20C, if you are talking Vancouver B.C. Canada. Close to home for me, Vancouver Island is the first Large island you will pass by ( that's Me). Alaska weather, well you could be anywhere from 0 to 20C. Not real cold but yes you will need a Jacket with a rain hat, LOL. We did that cruise in sept. Vancouver to juenea, skagway, ketichan. Good trip, ate and drank lots. seen whales and Glaciers.

Go to Alaska, org. Plenty of info. They have a temperature chart that you can enter your hometown and destination and get a comparison for 12 months of the year. Alaska weather planner, use Honolulu for a US city then Seward, Anchorage.
