Default WATER PUMP BOLT CONFIGURATION HELP

Can anyone help me with a bolt configuration diagram for my 1977 T/A water pump. I seem to be missing some bolts?

# 1 and #6 should both be the long bolt. make sure you install the lift hook and alternator bracket or the bolts will bottom out.

#3 should be a little longer to go through alternator bracket, but it looks like it's missing

the rest are all the same and I think you're missing a couple.

The other 2 boths you have there look like one is an intake bolt (bolt with 2 threads) and the other may be for the thermostat housing bolt.

I`ve never seen that stud bolt on a water pump. You can see 2 larger holes in the gasket for the longer bolts to pass. They are the top timing cover bolts. One on the alt bracket side and the other for the lift hook. If you don1t have the hook, put a nice thick lock washer there to take the space of the hook.

Never seize on the smaller bolts and don`t over tighten.

This project started in 2004. After several life changes I am again trying to put together my dream car. The engine was returned without the water pump and I never cataloged with diagrams, pictures and text the bolt configuration. These few bolts were contained in a box taped to the engine for almost 20 years. I can't thank you guys enough. Paul AKA Yellow Bird
