Can use an air board for much of it.
I sand i. 45 * motions like a gone would make cross hatch.
Icing in between a body filler and high build primer helps.
And K200 high build primer in a binks model 7 with pressure pot put it in like cake frosting then block it off

Use an air fed respirator and careful of isocyanates.

Check out createx colors they are no isocyanates, low VOC water borne paints mainly used for graphics but can be used for whole paint jobs. Can be used Direct to metal really great product. A lot of airbrush artists use it now .
