1967 Courtesy Light with A/C
Folks, searched around and finally found a 1967 under-dash courtesy light bracket, then purchased a new plastic dome lens. Not sure it is the right one for A/C, any have any pictures? Doesnt have enough room from the under-lip of the dash and the AC ducting. Saw a thread where it may be a tear drop shape, that attaches to the plastic ducting?
Thanks in advance

I don't remember any difference from my '67 with air to the other without. The A/C ducting sits up a little from the bottom flange so don't think there is any interference. I sold the A/C car so can't confirm, but swear it attached to the steel lip.

There should be enough room, It's tight but will fit. I angled mine slightly downward on my '66 with AC just to improve the light output. Your '67 should set up the same.
The only reference of a variation is on the convertibles which IIRC had two under dash courtesy lights. I think it was one above each footwell.

My friends car that came with the 8-Track tape player had a light on each side of the player. When I added the Mark IV Vintage Air I took the idea and moved the original over and purchased a second for the other side.

66 was the same, but when I added the courtesy lights to my 66 I put one on each side. Sure makes the lighting better for the foot wells.

Thanks for the great info everybody. It is in.....and it's tight. Not much room, finger feel to get it started, and pull it down with the screw. It won't rattle, put an LED in there. Before/After pic and pg 452 of the assembly manual that Jason referenced for 8 track cars.

What LED bulb did you use? I ended up with a bulb a little too large and while it has stayed in place it would be nice to have one the fit properly.

Just be aware that those crappy Repro lens' will burn/brown in short order if you use the light for long periods with a standard/stock blub.
Make your choice isn't hotter.
