Default Windshield wiper motor, grrrrr

Looks like my wiper motor is toast, I just tried the switch for the first time since I bought the car a month ago, nothing.

Can anyone tell me, when I remove the plug under the hood for the motor, which wire should have 12v with the key on and the dash switch engaged so I can test with a multi-meter before I buy a new motor?

Thanks! Are the wiper motors easy to swap on these cars?

This is how I tested mine. Mine quite working and I thought the motor was bad. It tested good so I thought the switch was bad. Then one day I noticed my hood tack bulb was out. I got it working and then mysteriously my wiper started working.

Gotcha, thanks for posting that!

Testing the switch if the motor tested good was going to be next on my list.

My hood tach is correctly plugged into the factory red connector under the dash. Hard to imagine a correlation to the wiper motor, I don't even think they share the same ground on the firewall. My hood tach is grounded with my horn relay just like factory.

Be sure the wiper switch has a good contact to the dash. Sometimes just tightening the switch can get it working.

Check for power on #2, then ground #1 terminal. If it works, check switch.
