The show is lame its the PEOPLE that makes it and the driving to and from with my buds. To be honest Tipp City could take over the Nats in a heart beat. Tiny and most of those blow hards are worth nothing to the venue.

I'd love to go. I'd just have to find lodgings.

Spoke with a couple of car judges over the weekend and consensus was that something should be done to allow survivor class cars that have had higher percent or even a total repaint but have never been restored. One person suggested a X points per panel deduct or say even a total of 30 points total deduct on a full repaint.
These cars really are in a class of their own, not full blow-out restorations but not "survivors" in the traditional technical definition. These "saved" cars are valuable to the hobby even if they don't meet the strict definition of a complete survivor - much can be learned from their untouched appearance.

I'll be there with two cars as a spectator. We'll sort of. I guess the dodge grand caravan doesn't count, but my dad will be driving the 02 WS6. My goal is to be driving the 76 T/A up next year as a long term project.

The point is why would the new paint car allowed but not the rebuilt engine car? Guess there could be a chart / deduct for various section but I think it would get clusterfunky.

Dan & I will be there with our Formula 455's ('71 & '74). We're looking forward to seeing everyone again and the cruise to & from Dayton.
Do I understand correctly that Brew and Judge273 (Brian & Mike) won't be joining us this weekend? Dennis |
