Default Trusted Engine Builders In 2020

It's been a while since I've needed an engine in my GTO but since my guy is long gone and I'm going to start pushing it this Summer I'd like to have plan B ready so.....

Who's a trusted Pontiac builder these days?

Who specializes in the aftermarket block builds?

Anyone in the IL area?

Thanks

I'm shipping an engine from SoCal to Paul Knippen in the Chicago area to get freshened up.

"...Who specializes in the aftermarket block builds?..."

Can't answer that one. I assume that Paul K. or anybody that can build using a stock block, can also build, with an aftermarket block.

BES don't show anything about Pontiac engines, on their site, that I saw. But, others have also said they did their Pontiac stuff.

DCI does aftermarket block builds. They're in OH.

https://www.dcimotorsports.com/

Then of course, KRE is also in OH.

Paul K. Is in your backyard and very good at what he does... he has countless successful after market block builds under his belt..
Not only that but he also has some very serious blown alcohol combos he builds and works with...
He is an engine guy... he does them all... Pontiac just happens to be his favorite..

If none of the guys mentioned tickle your fancy, there is a guy on here that goes by Dragoncar... he is the one all builders aspire to be...

He does all motors. He had an IA motor there when he did mine 601 ci and I think it dyno at 1206 hp I think it was. Mine was a MR-1 pump gas 571 ci dyno 724 hp 760 tq with e heads. He did a lot with McCarty on his RAV heads. So yeah he dose at lot you don't hear about. There are quite a few good builders out there that I would go to, I happened to live closer to BES and he had a good reputation and great to work with.
