Default A few pics

In another forum Greg Reid asked me to post some pics of the '71 GTO I bought new. I dug around in various places and found a few photos of each of my cars.

Terry,i was wondering if you still had your 2+2,that is one good looking car. How long have you had your '64 GTO? I have pictures of it back at the BOP show in 1987.

Yes, still have the 2+2. I never sell anything. I bought the Nocturne Blue '64 in 1978 and finished it in 1983. It's an oldie, but a goodie. I have another '64(silver with black interior) that I bought in 1977 from the original owner that I've never gotten around to restoring. The '66 convertible is probably next to be done, then the silver '64 if I don't run out of motivation.

Nice 2+2...noticed the bucket seat & colum shift feature..
I ownd one like that & it was a 376HP HO optioned car.
Eight lugs,AM/FM reverb,tach,wood wheel,& a posi 3.64 gear.
Regret selling it for sure.
I was just curious how rare the bucket seat/colum shifter combo is ???

He isn't kidding! You should see his parts stash in his basement. It looks like an old time Pontiac dealership parts department!

That photo of the 2+2 looking out of the darkened garage is calendar worthy. Beautiful shot of a really pretty car.

60man, I've been asked about the column shift/bucket seat combo a number of times. No idea how many were equipped this way. I scrounged up a couple of 4 speed consoles for this car a while back just in case I ever decided to convert it. Last summer I stuck one in the car and just mocked up a shifer in the hole of the console. (I really like the small 421 emblem on these consoles.) I liked the 4 speed look, but sort of made a mental note of all the things I would have to change, so I didn't stay really motivated about the conversion too long! Besides, the Turbo 400 is a really good automatic so it's nice to drive.

GTO Brian, don't know how I missed you on the street in Lilburn. I usually have my radar scanning for any old Pontiac. Next time, give me a honk. Maybe I'll see you sometime at the Tucker Cruise, Caffeine and Octane, etc.

Terry, your herd looks better than ever! I've been off on other hobbies the last few years and have missed most all of the local car shows. Maybe I'll get out and see you at some of them this year. Which shows are you hitting these days?
