She will be in my thoughts and prayers.
As the pastor at Hollywood Baptist Church would say: God is in control.

Done. Sorry for the suffering she is enduring.

My mother is elderly and lives alone and I'm the one she leans on most of the time. It works on you when they are hurting.

Prayed one up for you and family and mom.

We just attempted to clean-house at my mom&dad's. Moms in assisted living (probably for another week) and doing well, while dad was at his home, in good spirits but not really fit for independent living anymore. Just too weak in the legs. He was real helpful with cleaning: "take it all" , "throw it out", "don't ask why it's there just get rid of it" "does no good to figure, just get rid of it" "Want pizza?"

Thanks guys! I just got home from another long day at the hospital. What a rollercoaster. They finally get her blood pressure stable enough to do an mri of her brain. She's lost the ability to speak with very much clarity in the last couple of day; seems he has suffered a series of 'mini strokes. Her kidneys are barely working and the doctors are wanting to start dialysis, but she is a VERY hard stick and has been tortured so much. This morning we had a long talk about whether she wanted to have the dialysis or not. I told her that it had to be her decision. She acted like she was thinking and then looked up at me and asked me if I would be mad at her if she decided not to have the dialysis. I had been strong in front of her until that point and then I just lost it! I told her NO, I could never be mad at her, I just wanted her to be comfortable.

Then later when they told us of the results of the MRI they said they wanted to consult her neurologist to check the mri against previous ones. As I started to leave tonight, she seemed to be doing some better, and told me that she wasn't going to have any dialysis until after she talked with her neurologist, if at all. We had a long talk with the nurse earlier about what would happen if she decided against it, and she is ready to go.
