Default Pontiac 428 in a 1985 Fox Mustang.

Posting looking for specific information on putting a Pontiac V-8 in a fox Mustang.

Has anyone here done this? What mounts, exhaust manifolds/ headers, fan, and transmission can fit? Is there a kit for this?

Asking because I have a few buildable Pontiac engines, and recently came across a rust free engineless Mustang for practically free. Thinking that installing Pontiac power and torque could make it something fun to drive.

Thanks for any info or comments.

No idea, but it sounds fun. Imagine telling people you have a 428 and they assume a Ford but see a Pontiac. Awesome. I have seen quite a few LS engines in Fox body cars.

Steve C ought to be here soon. Steve has sponsored the Pontiac engine in a good friend's Ford Fairmont or Futura racecar. Believe that's the same basic unitized body & rack front end as the '79-84 Mustangs.
