Sanded the high build til it was thin, then 2 coats of 2k primer. I will leave it this way until the whole car can be blocked together. Normally I would block the whole car together when it's in poly primer, but I don't have the space to do it at the moment, so I keep the car in the trailer. I plan to do the same thing with the hood, front and rear valance, and the nose, then the body will come out and the rest will be done. Unless some room opens up in the mean time!

The rear valance is pretty rough. I'm going to give it a go and try to save it. Gonna be tough to get straight. Started with the rust over the exhaust cut outs. I'm going to have to remove the braces behind them to get it right.

I'm in the final sanding process on the judge. My car came with wheel opening mouldings, but I'm not sure if I want to run them or not. Does anyone know if the car would have had the holes even if it didn't get mouldings, or did they only put holes for them if it got them?

Yes, assembly front fenders and rear quarters will have screw holes even if car was not ordered with wheel lip moldings. NOS panels will not have screw holes.

Do these numbers stamped into the trunk valley near the upper seal area correspond to anything on the car, or are they just part numbers for assembly?

Probably just body style and position/location on car.

Gtome
I looked at a pair of NOS 1970 GTO front fenders I have in stock and they do have factory screw holes ,so production fenders and NOS fenders will all have factory screw holes.

Dang! And that is on a 10 year old restoration.
Mine will be ready for paint by next weekend, or maybe the weekend after, but I'm just not happy with the color matches I've gotten so far. I can't quite get the OO right, or the sandalwood interior colors right either. I have some good paint on the bottom side of the trunk lid im matching to. Starting to get frustrating.
Everything is pretty straight now, and I'm happy with my panel alignment and gaps though. It's all apart and in final primer at the moment. I have one quarter, and the roof sanded to 400 grit. I'm going to finish sanding the rest of the car to 400 grit, then put it back together to do a final fit check. Then blow it apart and wet sand with 800 grit.

Ok if I'm going to get 165k for mine, i better get to it! Worked on trying to match the dark sandlewood AGAIN today. I think this is as close as I'm gonna get. This is attempt number 6 I believe.

Next up is tying to nail down the orbit. The furthest left is the closest so far, but even it is a bit muted and a little light compared to the paint on the bottom of the trunk lid.

Is there any green in that sandalwood formula ?
Looks like it needs 2 or 3 drops of green and another drop or two of black.

Far left OO sample looks pretty good.

That would be a crazy choice if true.

OO with Black is def #1 cash combo.
The rarity of AC 4spd with that combo probably was another boost too.

Sandal will do good , but not as good as black interior.
Saddle or brown interior would start getting funky.

The Ram4 4spd OO JVert has Saddle interior ,,,, and a Gold top.

There is no green in it. I did add a couple drops of black in it after those pics but it didn't change it much.
I'm having trouble too, because even on the car none of the colors seem to be the same. That paint in the pic was from under the dash pad so I figure it was the least exposed to sunlight.

In person the left OO sample is a little yellow compared to the trunk lid. Just need to fine tune it a bit more.

Got the tub sanded with 320 grit dry. I will wet sand it with 400 and 800 once it warms back up. Dipping down into the 40's this week here!
