Default Early 70 blowout clip strange location?

Has anybody seen anything like this? I think John mentioned that his on his gold car they were bolt on and that would kind of match what I have going on here..

The first picture shows the two rivet holes located on the front angled portion instead of the horizontal portion like all the other weatherstrip channels I have from later cars.

In the 2nd picture there is a rust stain where the trim clip is located on the later trim I have. John mentioned in the 70 only parts thread he remembers they bolt on on his gold car.

And lastly the 3rd Picture I found on the Internet you can barely see the clip is in the lower position that I’ve never seen before.

Mine didn't have the chrome bead/strip that went around the roof.
Just had the rubber molding.

Found a partial pic of the passenger side, but hard to tell the clip. The clips were short.

About where the roof turns down then goes on straight run.

The bare looking spot below it, is where the window would rub the metal

(at high speed, flapping)

John

My car is a pile of many years so I’m not concerned with originality.

Just enjoy the history.

Looks like yours is short and in the lower position like mine has rivet holes for. On mine the rivet holes look to be never used, if they were someone did an excellent job of removing the rivets without scarring the stainless.

Curious if there is a bolt on version for the upper position for the later 70 or possibly 71’s.

Norwood where are yours located? By the way I ordered and received a set of yours, and they look great and fit the hole pattern perfect.

Thanks guys.

7C Norwood car, I would say they seem to be in what I would call normal place. Not a good picture but it’s the best I could find.
