Type 1968 into the Year input box.

#234

Would probably want nothing earlier than a D date code if going for realism.
Best wishes on your build. Keep us in the loop

IIRC the #9794234 intake came with the Ram Air II engine in mid-May 1968.
Before this the #9790140 intake was used.

Believe they started casting the parts in March (C) and April (D)

Somewhere on here before i think there was a witch hunt to try to determine the breaking point on the intakes (date-wise) , but i have forgotten the results now.

Once it was switched to 234 - everything went to 234 across the board.
approx Mid-May was when car assembly/production started

Quite a few high mile "140" & "234" 4bbl intakes cracked up through the secondary divider. Have examined examples that the crack was so bad up from the heat crossover that an 8 penny nail would fit down in the crack...instant EGR! Buyer beware when dealing with sellers who don't clean their parts up.

I have a C088 9790140 and a C198 9794234, so the intake part number change-over was mid-March 1968.

Same manifold design for 350-428HO & 455 HO & RAI, IIs, IIIs.

Has anybody seen a Plenum or Runner difference in 4234s, 0140s, and the 1970 manifold ( because I havn't).

I have seen no differences between the early/late 68 intakes (same part number 4234 for 69 also, date dependent). I think I have approximately (30) 68 intakes. I have not found a cracked plenum in any of mine, but I have yet to clean ALL of them yet.

If I remember correctly, BOSS was looking for D248 as the date for the RAII engine's intake.
