Default Another Mystery Rubber Part

Anyone know where this goes? It's big, about 3" long. Found it in my 68 Lemans parts bin. There are two of them. I thought it was the core support to fender bumper ... but now I don't think so.

They’re spacers that go between the rear bumper and the trunk.

Thank you ... that would explain why they were in the box with rear bumper mounts.

A person can never put enough labels on things when they take them apart
