Anti sway bar bushing source?
1970 T-A: I want to use my original front and rear anti roll bar bushing "Brackets" (With tabs) but cant find the bushings that work in the factory mounting brackets. Ames, FBC etc have aftermarket brackets with bushings that will work but I prefer to use the original brackets. Anyone have a source for just the bushings? Thx.

I am wanting to order new bushings for the rear sway bar on my '73 Formula. Does anybody know if the Energy Suspension kits sold by Ames will work? I know the end pieces aren't exactly the same. I can deal with that. The thing that concerns me is that the bushings they sell appear to be in 1/8" increments and I believe my bar is 9/16". Will the 5/8" bushings "squish" enough when they are tightened to work?

Fronts are available from GM as a truck part. I believe NJSteve found this out. The rear bottom drop link bushings are available from energy suspension. Will post pics and links later on today.

You get the uppers and lowers in the kit. I only use the lowers as the repop drop links have new uppers installed. You want to use a locking nut and keep these lubed and barely snug. A suspension is NOT a suspension if it cant move. |

As I recall I have done some bench grinding on the bushings as the location "dent" in the subframe isnt as big as the mound on the underside of these rubbers. Also make have to grind a deeper grove in the middle, a rounded out one, to make it settle down to the frame. Its not a perfect fit, but will work well.

Looks like NAPA carries the bushings for $20. I will head there Saturday. Thanks again FB.
