Need some help deciphering this one.

BODY BY FISHER 25-2

Questions are

What does the 1 designate in the date code?

What options are designated for each code?

What is the 25-2 after the Body by Fisher?

Thanks for any help. I can't get to my info right now.

Mike

Your questions regarding the 1 after the date code and the numbers after Body by Fisher: I have only seen those on cowl tags from the Pontiac plant. Other plants seem not to put those codes there. John V. im sure will pitch in and tell you.

I could decode all those codes for you but here is the list of where i would get them from:

Post number 15 and 17 is where the meat and potatoes are.

The "1" after the date code: we don't know. That's where the "X" is on my car.

Options are identified in the great link that Option 382 provided.

The "25-2": is the identification number of the weld fixture (body gates) that were used to fixture the body sides to the underbody in the body shop (in preparation for welding). The gates were numbered for tracking purposes to aid in problem identification and resolution.

BTW - saw you and the boy in Smokes this month. Nice pic and you guys look like you are holding up well. Best of luck to you in all your endeavors.
