Different Radio dial lamps
These two different style lamps pertain to the 65,66,67 AM versus AM-FM radios.
The question came up recently as why the more common AM style “radio dial lamp“ does not fit correctly into an AM-FM radio. The design of the AM lamp socket is to deep to clear the inside of the AM-FM internals. So, if you decide to add the optional AM-FM radio, you may want to find the shallow lamp socket. Shown below is a 66 AM-FM and a 65 AM radios. Chris.

This thread is perfect timing
I am wringing out my wiring harness for my current restoration and and need a radio light socket wire. I actually have the radio and the socket but someone cut the wire andI need a new one with the connector pictured if anyone has an extra Thanks |
