I agree. I came very close to buying this; I think it's probably one of the best investment cars I've seen on eBay in some time. It has a 72 455 and as you pointed out, the top works. If I had this car I'd paint it white, have the top replaced, put some rims on it and lower it a bit. Then just drive it. Even with a cheap paint job it would be a blast. But I have 6 cars right now and can't justify it. The car needs a new title which will take two weeks.

For those that have not seen the car chase in Last Action Hero, it's classic with this car in it. This movie is very underrated.

Yes, clearly worth the price and driving it would be fun for sure. I'd take it to Sonic and listen to Leslie West while waiting for my burger.

But I can't justify it either and I only have half a car...

74 Firebird 400 2BBl in CA at NR $9500. You can pick the Rally II's or 15" Honeycombs. Love the red interior. Supposedly a no rust car, which is what most CA cars are.

That '69 Bonneville is still out there at BIN $8900. I don't know what it's worth but sounds reasonable. I would definitely leave it Mayfair Maize. It's one of the best colors out there with a black interior. Black or white top works well but black interior is a 'must' for me...

69 Firebird tribute car at $19.5K with a 350. BIN(not OBO). If you had to start from scratch, you'd prolly be into it more than this to get it to where it is... maybe not. Sometime starting a conversation on cars like this will lead to a OBO if it doesn't sell. In Wisconsin.

73 T/A in Illinois at $49K BIN with the dumbest looking hood scoop you could have chosen. Looks like a glob of Play dough painted red. Not worth it, but a nice car aside from the scoop. I never understood the rationale behind picking the tallest air cleaner I could find to make it stick through the hood.

72 Firebird at $12.5K obo in Wisconsin. I don't think it's worth that, but it is OBO, so you never know.

Here's a couple of NR auctions. Sometimes these are interesting a go for more than I think they will, but most of the time the ads get pulled by the seller when it doesn't bid high enough. You never know... sometimes people just need some money and they 'll take less than the car is worth.

74 GTO Frame off at $1500 in Las Vegas.

81 NASCAR T/A in Canada at $100. This seller has some bad feedback, but when you read the complaints they may be buyers with buyer's remorse, or you just can't make everyone happy?
