Default 68 Firebird PHS question

If there is nothing in box 38, does that mean it was built without a radio? Thanks.

Probably. The radio codes were 2 thru 5 for AM push-button front and rear antenna and AM/FM push-button front and rear antenna respectively. Blank would mean no radio.

Have you looked up in the springs, under the seats, for the Body Broadcast Copy? The employees on the assembly line often put those sheets within the rear and maybe passenger seat. It has some good additional build information if it is still there. For example, it will detail the wheel code that you asked before and the radio.

Jim, Thanks for the response. I have not taken the seats out yet to look for the build sheet. I suspect they have been out before but I'm hopeful it is there.

Although I had my back seat out a couple times during its daily driver years I never noticed the sheet. I was happy to find it a couple decades later. It was hidden by the cardboard they used. That lower cushion is so hard to get out on mine, I hate removing it.

Impressive Pontiac collection you have in your signature!

I have found several of them over the years in other cars. It's a thrill to find one. I have my fingers crossed that my Firebird has one!
