Default "72 Correct Headlights

What were the correct headlights used in 1972? Were they the T3's?

The correct headlamps for 2nd gen birds are Power Beams, not T3's. Check Ebay. Occassionally you can find them on there.

Check you local salvage yard that has older cars. They were used on GM vehicles with 2D1 size headlights from 1970 to the late 70's. Power Beams were also sold over the counter as replacements so its not uncommon to find them in other makes.

Power Beams had a round logo in the center of the lens that said Power Beam.
Logo was about the size of a 25 cent piece.
I don't believe the ones on that auction are the ones you want, but you will need to see the actual lens to tell.

Auction looks like somebody is trying to pawn off some run of the mill headlights that are put into some old AC Delco/Guide boxes. It even says right in the description that the bulbs have "Westinghouse" on them.

The original bulbs will have "Power Beam" in a circle and "Guide" on the lens. Guide is/was GM's lighting division.

I believe I have a box of these headlights. Most have that haze at the top, as most do. I'd have to check which ones still operate. Let me know if you're interested.
BTW, was it you I sent that hinge cover to? If so, did it work out OK?
