I have an original underhood light that I have never mounted. does anyone have a copy of the mounting instructions or pics of where it mounts and how it is wired?
TIA

Should be the same as 67, I think. Here's what I used for doing mine.
I found dimples in firewall to locate the place for the holes.

Picture of 67 I found in a junk yard.

Thumbs up

As outlined in the install sheets the firewall drilling guide dimples help guide the location and are for the most part usually consistent across the board.

Is that where the 66 switch and lamp went from the factory Jeff? Always figured those instructions were not for a 67.

As you can see from junk yard picture above, the 67 was different.

Notice how the bracket fits these two cars in the seam here (not my cars). Dimples made the fit perfect also.

That would be '65 &'66 and have to admit I had never taken notice of the '67 change.
Can't seem to find anything regarding it. Had to be a reason I guess?

Default 66 Underhood light

Here are a couple original 66 GTOs with the light and switch in the same location.

LOL! Nothing more accurate than 100% original.

I noticed that when I found the instructions I posted earlier, but then I knew about the junkyard find 67 and I had seen another original car aslo.

I never could figure out what the reason for the change was, but I had noticed that the 67 switch bracket was moulded slightly different on the bottom to fit into the seam in the firewall. Weird.
