I see that my Shifter boot is jacked up.
Who sells this boot and is it an easy fix? I hope I do not need to drop the tranny to fix. Any suggestions or help would be great. Thanks, FB66 |

That's the clutch fork boot... not a shifter boot. Ames has them for 14.50/ea.
Just call them for one and get a catalog too, it's free. Look on the right side of this page and click on the 1964-77 GTO/LeMans/Tempest Free catalog ad.

Thanks GT182
You are correct it is the clutch fork boot. Now, have you ever changed one? FB66 |

Yep I have. Just unhook the clutch fork pushrod and slide it over that and put the boot in place. Squeeze the tranny side to get it in. You'll see what I mean when you take the old one out. It's pretty easy to do.
