Default Truman Fields?

Initially I wasn't going to bother the guy, and just post here, then I thought to myself;

"Come on Jonathan, don't be a wuss - What's the harm in actually emailing the guy!?"

So I did...
Unfortunately I almost immediatly got a bounce-back that his verizon email was NFG, and the message was undeliverable.

Does anyone know what he's up to lately?

I was talking with him a couple years back, then was on his "you-guys-gotta-read-this" forwarded email list for a while... then nothing.

Is he still around & racing?

The last time I spoke to him he said this (amongst other things);
quote: "I will race ... depend(ing) on funds available."

Put this down as 'Just because I'm curious'...

Last I heard he sold everything off. The last e-mail I had for him was trumanfields@yahoo.com

Heck of a good guy, and an even better racer.

awe man!?

For a guy who seemed to really be into it, that sounds sad.

I'm doing one of my stereotypical franken-bumps;

I bought the March 2018 Musclecar Review last night because of the 2017 MCACN coverage (seemed better than any other magazine to date), and in it I could see that Truman was at the unveiling of his (former?) car;
Then a google search confirmed that it was him (I've never met him in the flesh, just corresponded many years ago via email - so I guessed it was him in the magazine);

(He's on the left)

And then in finding this thread, I stumbled upon his user name/profile here;
I'm glad to hear he's still around.

He was my 1st Pontiac hero, back in '73, when he won the US Nats, & set a new national record.

Todd Hoven Raced a "Hard Times" tribute car, for a while. So, he may know how to contact Truman.

Truman is great - he and Jim agreed to stand for this picture for me at MCACN in November. Would love to know half the Pontiac knowledge these two men posses!

He set me straight on a thread about stock rods back in the day. The invited me to his pit if I ever made it to a national race. Gave me his number too and I deleted it by accident. Legend.

Glad to hear all of this!!!
My buddy owned the 72 GTO that Truman bought new, from 1980 til 2012 (he was the 3rd owner...). The GTO is in Michigan now, being restored to it's day 2 glory as a Super Stocker... Truman and the current owner are friends..
