Default anyone try to replace the mirror on a rear view mirror

want to keep my original mirror ,can i change the old mirror glass with a new one' i have a guy the can cut me one to fit

The door mirrors? You can get various replacement glass. Get the thicker type if you do, I had a set sent once and they were thin and with jagged edge. Also, you can swap internals on RH side but only on the left with the remote cable of it has the large clearance hole in the stalk. The small hole version is assembled around pre-painted parts.


The cabin rear view mirror would be trickier with the high beam deflector tab, and the vinyl trim that needs to stretch if brittle. I haven't really tried it, had a repro that had come apart from rough shipping. It was never really right after that and tossed. Starting to delaminate or get spots under the glass?

You have an eBay account of same name? Was looking at something and saw name the other night.

Mine broke I got a repop but want an original. Im.second thou that's just fair. 9254358055. Ignacio. Both my originals broken where the pivit point is they get loose

Yes. There’s a corvette mirror that I’m told is a direct drop in replacement. I haven’t ordered one yet but this is the part you need.

I have redone a bunch of these. I do use the 10 inch Paragon corvette mirror glass.
