Default center cap question

So I put a set of snow flakes on my 76 as i didnt like the ralleye wheels. I bought a set of center caps but the front caps hit the dust shield and wont click on. Rears go on fine. Anyone else have this issue, i seem to recall reading a thread about this some where but cant find it.

Default center caps hitting

I had a similar problem and found a solution: Go in to the 70-73 firebird section of this forum, go in to the "search option" then type in "Center caps hitting". There is a lot of good information there that should help you solve your problem. Good luck.
