The gear shift indicator on my column shift 1966 Bonneville (auto transmission) no longer moves when I shift out of park (P) - the indicator just remains at P. Is there an easy way to access the gearshift indicator mechanism to repair it or do I have to drop the steering wheel?
Thanks Mark |

You will need to drop the column. The cable has probably become disconnected. Be careful, there is an arm on the indicator, that is made of plastic and it can break very easily.
