Help
I am in desperate need for a single groove vibration damper for a 68 - 69 250 .Either a one or 4 barrel would do . This is the last item I need to get my car on the road . Thanks Don

Don,
Sorry I missed your call. Seems my memory isn't that bad after all, correct in as NO single groove HB's. Even a bare bones car WO/PS-PB would still use a fan & alt belt. Question is which HB are you using on your 250. 1BC or the 4BC? Pics 1&2 below are 4BC, Pics 3&4 1BC-250. I don't think you can mix and match, i.e. '66-'67 WP, Fan & Pulleys on your 250. I could be wrong so anyone know please chime in.

More info
Hi Jeff,
I have a 1 bbl pulley . I took the radiator and fan out of the car . We took some measurements and came up with this solution . If I use a 1/8" spacer between the pulley and the fan I should have enough clearance to clear the front of the damper and still have enough clearance between the fan and the radiator. I pulled an old chevy fan out of my attic . It is 4 blade with a slightly less pitch than the original fan . Hopefully this set up might work. I'm still open to suggestions . Thanks Don |
